What we collect
- What you type into a form. The contact form and the readiness check send your name, email, company, role, and your answers. Your answers are sent when you press the submit button.
- Your website address, if you ask for a scan. When you press "Scan my site", the address is sent right away, before you submit anything else. The readiness check fetches your public homepage and, when enabled, sends its text to Anthropic's Claude to suggest industry, team size and similar facts. You can correct or skip every suggestion.
- Basic request details. A one-way hash of your IP address (to stop spam and limit repeat submissions), your browser's user-agent, the page you submitted from, and campaign tags (utm_*) or the referring site if present.
- Analytics. Google Analytics records page views and clicks on this site.
Why
To reply to you, scope an engagement, and send the reading and plan you asked for. We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
Who processes it
- Supabase (database and form processing, US region)
- Anthropic (website scan classification, only when you request a scan)
- Google (Analytics and web fonts)
- GitHub Pages (hosting)
- An email delivery provider, if new-lead alerts are switched on
How long we keep it
Leads are kept while we are in conversation and as ordinary business records afterwards. Spam-limit records are deleted after about a day. Cached website scans are refreshed after seven days.
Your choices
Email corey@talewatersandtides.com to see, correct, or delete anything we hold about you. You can block analytics with your browser's privacy settings or an extension; the site works without it.
